The project brief began with the design of small- to mid-scale residential units within a five-story apartment building, located near one of Tehran’s main urban arteries—Valiasr Street (formerly Pahlavi Street)—in the Amanieh neighborhood. The development was commissioned by private investors with the aim of addressing the housing needs of young couples and single residents.

In this project, our primary objective was to respond to the functional requirements of compact living without compromising spatial quality. Rather than allowing limited floor area to dictate constrained experiences, we sought to preserve clarity, proportion, and livability within each unit.

The resulting scheme consists of a five-story residential building with two units per floor, complemented by two levels of parking. Storage areas and mechanical spaces are accommodated on Basement Level -2, ensuring an efficient vertical organization of services and circulation.

In the selection of materials and detailing, the design team pursued a language defined by restraint and precision. Through simple yet disciplined detailing, the project aspires to achieve a calm and enduring architectural presence—one that remains understated, yet lasting, within its urban context.
